Cadran releases version 3 of Security Generator

Cadran's Security Generator is a time-saving and maintenance-friendly solution to configure security in JD Edwards in accordance with the Sarbanes Oxley and J-SOX legislation.

Profiles and models are used to set up and maintain security in a way that ensures compliance with the requirements regarding the segregation of functions. As well as minimising the time needed for configuration, this also increases transparency and makes maintenance simpler. This Cadran solution is complementary to the standard JD Edwards software (the existing security files are populated by the Security Generator) and can be applied both to new systems and systems that are already operational.

Cadran released in 2010 version 2 with the following new functionalities:
- Program for copying one or more User IDs in their entirety from one or more existing User IDs. From User Profiles to Security Generation.
- Security Rules: set up priorities per Security Type and per field

From customers there was a wish to view and adjust the TaskView and related models online. So version 3 was released in 2011 containing:
- Upload tasks and models from  Excel and the possibility to add these to JD Edwards tabels including security rules
- Import an existing TaskView and change tasks en models before uploading these into JD Edwards
- Delete tasks and security rules from JD Edwards.
