Cadran workshop on Digital Transformation
Digital Transformation is one of today’s major trends, encompassing a wide range of technological advancements, digital tools, and new working methods. This trend is set to bring significant changes across all sectors in the coming years.
Last week, Cadran hosted its first workshop on Digital Transformation for Oracle JD Edwards ERP users in the Benelux. Managers, directors, and IT professionals from over 20 companies gathered at the Oracle office in Utrecht to gain inspiration and shape their vision for leveraging Digital Transformation with Oracle JD Edwards ERP.
What is Digital Transformation?
The workshop began with an introduction to Digital Transformation. A commonly used definition describes it as the changes organizations must implement to keep pace with the rapid development of digital technology.
This immediately raises questions: how can organizations not only adapt to these changes but also capitalize on them? Research by IDC indicates that systems like Oracle JD Edwards ERP provide a solid foundation for this digital acceleration. Companies can build on this foundation using four key digital pillars:
- Mobility
- Cloud Technology
- Data Analytics
- Social Technology
These pillars connect to emerging technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, 3D printing, and augmented reality, enabling organizations to drive digital innovations.
Practical examples
The workshop featured case studies showcasing how Cadran clients have combined new technologies with Oracle JD Edwards ERP. Examples included tracking train wagons with tracking & tracing technology and developing innovative products. These cases demonstrated how companies are already applying digital transformation in their operations.
A presentation by futurist and trendwatcher Richard van Hooijdonk highlighted how these innovations are either already part of today’s reality or will be in the near future.
Cadran taskforce
Cadran is committed to supporting clients in their Digital Transformation journey. To this end, a dedicated Taskforce will be established to address specific challenges through pilot projects. Successful pilots can then be further developed by the client, either independently or in collaboration with Cadran.
