Cadran in motion for a good cause

Through Alpe d’HuZes and the Roparun, Cadran made a modest yet meaningful contribution to initiatives that make a difference for people affected by cancer. Together with colleagues and partners, we’re committed to supporting more research, better care, and greater compassion.

Giving up is not an option: five climbs for a good cause

On Thursday, June 5, our colleague Arjen van den Broek achieved an exceptional feat during Alpe d’HuZes: he climbed the legendary Alpe d’Huez five times in one day. With this physical and mental challenge, Arjen supported KWF (Dutch Cancer Society) and the broader fight against cancer.

Alpe d’HuZes is an annual event in which participants climb the mountain—either by bike or on foot—multiple times in one day. The goal: to raise as much money as possible for cancer research. The event’s motto says it all: “Giving up is not an option.”

At Cadran, we’re proud to have supported Arjen in this effort. His dedication, perseverance and commitment align closely with our values. We’re deeply impressed by his achievement and fully support this important cause.

Running for life: the Roparun

Cadran also played an active role as a sponsor during the Roparun 2025. We supported Team 90 by sponsoring the vehicles used along their route. This support allowed the team to fully focus on their challenge, while ensuring that other donations went directly to the cause.

The Roparun is a non-stop relay run covering hundreds of kilometers, aimed at raising funds for palliative care for people with cancer. Team 90’s support vehicles proudly displayed the Cadran logo—a visible sign of our involvement.

The Roparun is about much more than just sports. It’s a powerful example of what people can achieve together, driven by the motto: “Adding life to days, when days can no longer be added to life.
