Internet of Things
JD Edwards’ Internet of Things module enables businesses to optimize and automate their business processes using Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications. The IoT module is equipped to process data from sensors and other devices, including variables such as temperature, geographic positioning, pressure level, or tremors. Collecting information from devices enables businesses to integrate this information into their business processes in order to make more intelligent decisions, reduce costs, and create new sources of revenue. The JD Edwards IoT Orchestrator handles data processing for external devices, using acceptance criteria for the data to be processed, data mapping, rules which determine what action needs to be taken, and business processing steps which process the IoT data in the JD Edwards system
